Our Humble History

Rasa Istimewa Restaurant had her humble beginning as a small Restaurant at Simpang Bedok in 1997 under Rasa Istimewa Bedok and moved to a bigger premise in Choa Chu Kang Park in 2002. The Restaurant at Choa Chu Kang Park undergone major refurbishment in 2012 with significantly better ambience, décor and introduce a number of new cuisine to the menu.
Rasa Istimewa Woodlands Waterfront was opened in 2012 at Woodlands Waterfront Park, which is the only restaurant in Singapore that is uniquely located on an existing jetty on Johor Straits, boasting a fantastic scenic view of both Johor and Singapore shores and skylines. Our third outlet, Rasa Istimewa Restaurant @ Pasir Ris Park later opened in 2018, nestled within lush greenery with a beachfront view. On November 2018, Rasa Istimewa Restaurant @ C2K Park had officially moved and is now known as Rasa Istimewa Restaurant @ SAFRA Jurong, featuring a fully air-conditioned indoor space with stage lighting and essential AV facilities for an intimate wedding or corporate events.
The name 'Rasa Istimewa' reflects the passion to cater a special flavor or taste of Chinese-style Halal Seafood cuisine to the local food scene. Our Motto “Where Good Halal Food Congregates” is a continuous mission to provide a wide array of good Halal cuisine to please your taste buds and promote a kampong spirit where Muslims and Non-Muslims can come to dine together. With more than a decade in the Halal Food Industry, Rasa Istimewa Restaurant is proud to have acclaimed a large customer based today; both Muslims and Non-Muslims from all walks of life, be it to enjoy a satisfying meal with your family & friends or to celebrate a special event.
